There are several different options for online music, but we’ll discuss the top four here. Apple Music, Deezer, iHeartRadio, and TuneIn Radio are among our favorites. These options let you listen to music on your computer, your phone, or both. You can also use other popular music streaming services, like Spotify, Pandora, and Tidal. We’ll also discuss what to listen to on each.
Apple Music
If you’re looking for a free music service, look no further than Apple Music. The company’s music service is compatible with iOS and Android devices, and offers over 90 million songs. In addition to offering a huge catalog, Apple Music allows users to listen to their music offline. It even integrates with Siri, Apple’s voice assistant, to allow users to control most things with a voice command. Although Apple wasn’t the first company to introduce streaming music, the company has made it a popular service that continues to grow.
Deezer
If you’re on a budget and want to enjoy free music from all over the world without having to spend a dime, consider using Deezer. Its vast library of music is easily accessible and it features comprehensive recommendations from a variety of genres. Deezer even has a section dedicated to international charts, which feature the top 100 tracks from around the globe. Another feature of the service is its Fresh Picks of the Week feature, which offers curated collections of hot new music each week. These playlists can be categorized into different genres such as New Dance, Fresh Rap, and Radar Weekly. Additionally, there are hundreds of podcasts available on Deezer, from collaborative audio podcasts to original productions.
iHeartRadio
There are many music streaming services available. Spotify, for example, is a worldwide leader with more than 50 million tracks available. However, Internet radio is limited to the economies of a few economically developed nations. Although both services offer free versions, the full functionality can only be enjoyed via a paid subscription. Spotify offers more songs than iHeartRadio does, but it lacks features like custom stations, on-demand listening, or Hi-Res Audio. Still, there are some benefits to free music streaming services.
TuneIn Radio
As the name suggests, TuneIn Radio is a free online music service that offers streaming services to millions of listeners. You can listen to music, news, and local stations. You can even search for artists, albums, or shows that you want to listen to. Whether you’re looking for a local station or something a little more niche, TuneIn has it all. It also lets you create personalized playlists so you can find exactly what you’re looking for.
LiveXLive
Previously known as Slacker Radio, LiveXLive offers millions of tracks, live concerts, and exclusive content for subscribers. The service allows users to customize their station choices. Besides music radio stations, subscribers can also choose playlists based on specific artists, genres, and events. The free version offers ad-supported access, but premium users can pay $10 per month to remove ads and enjoy extra features.
Pandora
For people who love listening to free music on the internet, Pandora is an excellent choice. It’s available on mobile devices, desktop computers, Apple Watch, voice assistants, and even in the car. With a variety of genres to choose from, Pandora has something for everyone. Besides music, Pandora also features podcasts and talk radio programming, which are both great for passive listening. Unfortunately, Pandora doesn’t have video content or audiobooks.
